Alganesh
Alganesh Kahsay, a radiant soul, heeded the call to arms for liberation in 1977 amidst the ancient city of Keren. Despite her youth, she emerged as a beacon of courage and prowess among the valiant warriors of freedom. Through battles fierce and trials dire, she triumphed gallantly, a true warrior of the spirit.
In the ethereal tapestry of the Eritrean People's Liberation Front, over 30% of its noble warriors were women, a testament to their indomitable spirit. This surpasses all other tales of liberation across the globe. The epic saga unfolded against the backdrop of the struggle for independence against the might of Ethiopian forces, a chapter inscribed in the annals of valor and resilience.
