♥ Tribute to Tarcila- Rivera Zea: Born in Vilcashuaman, Ayacucho, Peru,has led a lifetime of 30 years fighting ignorance on indigenous lifestyles and social injustice. In 2017, she was one of 14 experts representing their communities in the UN permanent forum for indigenous issues. She is the director of the association for the Rights of women and development (AWID) and the advisory committee of the bureau of women Peruvian parliamentarians. She founded the Chiapas Center for Indigenous cultures of Peru, fostering pride in tradition and culture, and education regarding indigenous rights.

Mami Watta is an artistic movement reconnecting with traditional knowlege, producing unique styles of jewelry and accessories that support the artisanship and hardwork of our Indigenous artists.

This wearable artwork has been produced by artisans from the Embera Chami tribe of Colombia. It carries hours of work, calculation and imagination. Through the beadworks we can see a lot of references to colours from the natural environment and the Embera Cosmovision.
